FT. WORTH MISCELLANEY
Aha! How do you like them apples? A Fort Worth Miscellaney! What next?
The ever-growing Agape MCC brings Rev. Don Eastman in from Dallas to present his series on the Bible and homosexuality October 30November 1 (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). Rev. Eastman offers an interesting and enlightening look at the Moral Majority's flimsy try at condemning gays through the use of Scripture. We promise you won't be disappointed. Don is intelligent and an entertaining (as well as informative) speaker. Time is 7:30 each evening, so it shouldn't do anything to interfere with your ghastly plans for Halloween.
The Corral continues its beer bust and cookout Sundays and plans door prizes and champagne for the Big Night.
Lest we forget, Mr. Gay Fort Worth will also be at the Corral October 19 (next Monday), and Metro Times will be there.
Congratulations to the Krazy Kowboy, who postponed their first anniversary party until this Sunday (October 18), when a free buffet, free beer, and a pool tournament with trophies start at 4 P.M.
K.K. will offer $25 each for most original costume, best comedy costume, and best western costume. Halloween party begins at the witching hour of midnight...
The Split Image assures us all rumors are false. They are open as a women's bar and under the same management and ownership.
The 651 s Thursday night buffet and Monday night dance (C&W) lessons continue, with the Lumber Company opening very soon.
The Other Place will be open until 5 A.M. Halloween. Big Mama
didn't have all the details yet, however.
The Tender Trap will also offer cash prizes Halloween.
Our rash of long distance calls missed Mickey's and also the Silver Eagle Court. Information on the Court's Halloween Carnival, to be held October 25 (we understand) at an undisclosed location, should be available later at the Downtowner (we had bad timing).
We also missed DJ's, which is still taking a break Mondays. We hope to update you next issue on special events.
If you've missed out, we feel you should also conserve energy by not going to the Woodworks at this time, as we're advised it is not open for business. We thought it was a hot bar, personally...
